A note on palindromes:

An English palindrome was first written by the English poet John Taylor. It required the letters to be fully reversible like thus A B C D C B A. John Taylor�s read thusly; �Lewd I did live & evil I did dwel.� Now he obviously cheated. Firstly he used an ampersand and secondly he misspelt dwell. Mad Carmen started this off by writing a wonderful Greco-Roman palindrome. Here the whole sentence�s words were reversible. For example, �Jack loves Jill, not Jane� which when reversed reads �Jane, not Jill, loves Jack.�
For my piece I have attempted the Greco-Roman tradition as I feel it is easiest even if it is not the most popular form in English. For the middle piece, the connecting word I have chosen my favourite English style palindrome�

This palindrome is clearly insane:


Jeff and June
By seven bullets were felled. Inside. Thus,
Without dying were Ramoses insanely scrabbling.
Blood pouring. veins emptying.
Shot after shot fired
Outside.
Gun withdrawn, a gangster that tagged
Exploding Jake Bullet�s herd,
Exited. Quietly pointing his
Gun. Looking. Everyone.
T�other smirked. �Bomb a laid�
He Smiled.
�Can I kill them? Said another.
To plan. A finished plan! Magnificent!
Assassins too!�
Hernandez rubbed his hands. �Ramoses, Jeff?�
Did they nod?
�You tyrant American!
Anne, this is for
You.� He turned
To his Russian doll. �make
Up. Look, smile. You need money?�
�Yes.�
�Plan one right? Simple.
Bomb it. Destroy!
Insane plan A is:
�A man, a plan, a canal, Panama!�
Is a plan. �Insane!�
Destroy it! Bomb!�
Simple, Right? One plan.�
�Yes?�
�Money? You need? Smile. Look up
Make dole. Russian? His too?�
Turned he. �You!�
For, is this an
American tyrant? You?�
Nod they did.
Jeff Ramos�s hands, his, rubbed Hernandez
�Two Assassins.
Magnificent plan! Finished a plan too!�
Another said. �Them? Kill? I can!�
Smiled He.
�Laid a bomb.� Smirked t�other.
Everyone looking. �Gun!�
His pointing; quietly exited
Everyone heard Bullet�s Jake exploding
�Tagged that gangster!� A withdrawn gun
Outside.
Fired shot after shot
Emptying veins. Pouring blood
Scrabbling insanely; Ramoses were dying without.
Thus, inside, felled were bullet�s seven by
June and Jeff.
