My Beautiful Summer

My Beautiful Summer

A Poem by Wulfstan Crumble

Today, you were so down
Depressed
Full of woe and fear
On the verge of giving up

Ive loved you from the start
From that very first touch
You stopped my heart
And spent all my money.

Second date we wandered
Amidst fish of all kinds
You slept in my arms, as I chatted,
With the barman over Irish stew.

We clung to one another
A passion from the start
You are my sunshine
My never falling star

Our summer continues
Your rose tinted scent
The cutest of petals
Your meadow-sweets

Today, your nerves bit
Threw you off balance
And now, you worry, regret
The belief has gone.

If you cannot believe
Then let me do it for you
I am your champion
A horseless knight.

My beautiful summer
Your name in English
Never give up, please
Never let the sun go down.

Your star will never fall
So reach,
Reach out and touch
Your dreams

And by your side
Forever,
I will reach out too
Our souls are one
We are one.
