Longing for the one

How I wish to be noticed yet not be seen..

Looking for you in the midst of the crowd,

fighting the voices inside me screaming out loud.

While I look at you and crave your glance back at me,

yearning for your eyes to give me the answer I need or maybe.

When I spot 'you', the only rainbow of my utter existence,

I pray only for your silence around me to be your pretence.

The faith I have in these butterflies I feel, frightens me,

then again not your absence but my longing for you enlightens me.

In my heart of hearts, the only desires of mine' pry,

for all that exists to not remain unrequited by and by.

How my fantasy tells me that our destinies are bound to twine,

the first time I saw you in my life, the sun rose and chose to shine.

Now I have had enough of the blow hot and cold, want-and-await,

I'm afraid this delay might be the terror, too long, and too late.

The fright lies in me I know, of getting out of the fool's paradise,

But for you, this heart must choose to let go and sacrifice.

Within me is where the facts, my truth, and my beliefs lie,

The shield I built shall suffer for good, it must shatter and die.

This is my choice to now defeat my worries while remains the pain,

I cross my heart to not hide but confess if we whenever, ever meet again.

Believe me one day I will be brave enough to stare right into your eyes, 

ready to conquer my fear,

and tell you that, These eyes are no longer scared of being seen through, 

I adore you forever and ever, my dearest dear.
