They climb through the air, they fall like the rain They consume those lines and every shade of rhyme, They ring out the bell when all the world is silent, And the awful days of us we seek respite from And in these awful days they're our only friends. In each verse we play, the Hymn of life in grace The jolly lines they flow from the same old Beck, Though we taste its water from two very different places. Down to the waterfall we hear the words so deep, And those deepest thoughts, they tend to keep Our hopes in light and those fears in dim... Depths where darting salamanders swim And leafmeal settles in the slanting rays Of speechless suns traversing the world's rim. I cup my palms here and I take a drink (The heat has sprung sweat-drops upon my brow) I leave my limbs here, and my stone-soul sinks Into penultimate caverns, mountain-fed And holds its breath there till it is called back Into the dry day - but there it will have words There words will oil its tongue, and it will sing.
This poem radiates with such beautiful imagery, it takes the reader on such a journey. My favorites lines were
"I leave my limbs here, and my stone-soul sinks
Into penultimate caverns, mountain-fed
And holds its breath there till it is called back
Into the dry day(....)"
You paint very well with your words, it was an absolute pleasure to read!

Beautiful picture and words. Words have great power. Can make us dance in the rain and cry into the lonely night.

Thank you for a amazing poem.

A nice collaboration... great picture... and great imagery in the poem, relaxing and nicely spoken, written... i love the beginning four lines and also i like this line:
"Though we taste its water from two very different places."
This is amazing, I can completely relate. Having words to express ourselves, myself is the greatest gift I personally think I could receive. I wish I could write as beautifully as this.
Wotcher!
