![]() Demented ColoniesA Poem by Sujash I. Purna![]() It's about my inborn indignation about the sanguine aspects of my life.![]() Demented colonies end up swallowed by oceans of mist choking the breaths out, but we sit here clasping our hands as if the people flanking the aisle will tear us apart. Though we walk like groom and bride we are more stranger to the other than the Sun is to the Saturn. I am blowing out the candles now. Get a sleep and when comes the morning. You'll wake to see me not there but swallowed within that mist or wandering down the blind alleyways of those demented colonies. We were made of bronze and silver, rememeber? You mocked my beauty I mocked yours. I'd jaywalk your city streets I said I'd break those signals that lead our difference and the roads that run around the colonies. Demented colonies Sinuous, labyrinthine How many times you proposed to me? How many times you said you'd take me there? Now I'm about to be swallowed! I'm about to be free from your tears! Your heart can't bind mine! I'm free like a murderer who escaped justice! And when I reach there, my Byzantium I'll mock you again I'll mock your dainty moccasins I'll worship my devilish sins In my demented colonies.
