WillowyA Poem by Sujash I. PurnaThe Pleasure that abideth for a moment... The Sorrow that endureth for ever... for a friend this poem isn't worthy ofMaybe I’m a parasite Who longs for your shade.
Or maybe a lost firefly, In the wilderness, Blinking meekly for your grace. You came upon this dreary land, Coloured it with your sleightless hands. It's not only that scent That sent me in your day-dream It's not even those eyes innocent Only! A voice That speaks as if a shy stream From rainfall in my dry melodies Soaks and graces Deities and ditties. I can stand thousand reasons Why you seem the only beacon… But they thwart me to reach you, Yet I will be standing on your porch. Yet I will hold the flowers till the end, Because I have seen the glaze of a burning sun On thine moist cheeks, And when they blush, God can’t create anything More beautiful! Words, with, all pages I’ll fill up, But nay! I can never come to the end Of my musings, about you. A lover in the guise of a friend I am and I cannot pretend I’m not fallen. And yes I have, For this willowy one God has made… Sujash © 2012 Sujash I. PurnaAuthor's Note
