It's Mother's Day, Tomorrow

It's Mother's Day, Tomorrow

A Poem by The Girl with the Wolf Tattoo

It's Mother's Day tomorrow, Mom
where do I even begin?
We've not had a good one in 9 long years
I wish there was a way I could make it up to you.

I haven't wanted to celebrate it at all
Haven't seen the need to, to be honest.
Well, I mean, I still sort of do
for my grandmas and my stepmom, too.

For you, though, mom..
I've not been able to celebrate it with you.
Soon, I'll even have a Mother-In-Law to spend it with..
but my time with anyone but you couldn't compare.

Mom, I love you, I hope you know
tomorrow, just like the last 9 years, I'll be in tears.
It's Mother's Day, tomorrow, Mom..
Where do I even begin..?
