A Lonely RoadA Poem by Amandai was depressed last nightI walked along a lonely road, It was only me, myself and I. I stared at the signs the stars bode, Anxious to believe any beautiful lie. The fog began to creep its way upon me, Slowly thickening and swirling around, Until my thoughts were all I could see, And just a bit of the ground. I kept on going since I was all alone, The darkness pressing against my soul. Ahead a small bright light shone, And i continued on, my mind whole, My thoughts were my only company, In this dark and abandoned place. Though the light guided me, For disappointment I began to brace. The evils that lurked behind, They didn't even care anymore. Freeing themselves from my mind, They crept out an open door. There couldn't be anything left, There was no one left to trust. Of my love you committed theft, Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. I walked along a lonely road, Just me, myself, and I. I was only a burden, a heavy load, Thats why now I walk to die.
