Summer

Summer

A Poem by Amanda
"

A short poem about Summer

"

The others never had a chance,

It seeks to appeal with short days and long nights,

Keeping you still in it’s trance,

Slowing you ‘till you lose all your fight.

Summer is laid-back,

Content to warm you,

Make your will slack,

And let you do the least as possible, too.

How will you survive,

With everything lays in wait,

Anxious to revive,

But cautious of future hate?

I have to admit I do like the longer days. I am somewhat of a night time walker so its nice to be able to walk around later at night and not have to worry about it getting dark so early. But I really like this one as well.
