Awkward CamelA Story by AmandaThe story of how Awkward Camel came to be known as she is today. NOT MEANT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY :)There was once a camel that lived in a small town called Suxbridge. She had fifteen piercings, including plugs. Sometimes the camel let her friend Frog dye her hair. It didn’t work out. The camel now walks around with slightly orange fur. It’s okay though, because it shows school spirit.
At her school, there were many fun animals. Most of the time they were very rowdy. Some of her friends included Gilbert the Turtle, Kassie the Frog, and Mandy the Cat. Nico the Bull had a crush on the camel, but they stayed friends. You see, the camel had a crush on Gilbert. But Gilbert was a turtle, and interspecies relationships rarely work out, as everyone knows.
One day the camel, Mandy, and Taya the Lemur were at lunch when Gilbert propelled himself over to them. “Hello, Gilbert.”
Gilbert looked at the camel. “Hello. Can I sit with you animals?”
Gilbert sat with the three animals, which made Nico very mad. He snorted out of his nostrils. The camel got up to throw her very small lunch away. Because she was so infatuated with the turtle, the camel did not notice Nico’s paw sticking out.
She tripped and landed on Gilbert the Turtle. The camel was so embarrassed that she got her words mixed up. Instead of saying “I’m so sorry!” and asking, “Are you okay?” she ended up huffing, “ARE YOU F*****G SORRY?!”
Gilbert, who was trapped under the camel’s bum for the time being, could only croak out a slow “Yes…”
Mandy the Cat, who was watching with wide eyes, managed to let out a loud and long, “Awwkwardd…” between her kitty giggles.
From then on, the camel was known as Awkward Camel. Most of the things she did from that point became awkward, often causing people to laugh at her. Ah, well. At least she got to touch Gilbert the Turtle for five minutes. © 2012 AmandaAuthor's Note
