The Storm

The Storm

A Poem by Amanda
"

The storm isn't always on the outside

"
The storm isn't just outside.
It isn't just some rain,
It's a brooding darkness inside,
Stirring emotions like unbearable pain,
With every turning page it worsens,
Lying in wait to control you.
It'll hit you soon,
And you won't know a thing to do.
You'll be helpless against the monsters,
The ones made by fright.
They'll come for you every time,
Blocking out your light,
So don't think you're safe,
From the rough things outside,
Because there will come a time,
When you will wash away like the ocean's tide,
Wishing that you had the sense to just die.

Author's Note

Amanda
I wrote this in History mostly and didn't know how to end it. Loving the rain, by the way. I just wish it would thunder too. Ah, well.

Keep calm and carry on, but not without leaving a review ;)
