The Piano Man

The Piano Man

A Poem by Amanda
"

Short and sweet poem about a woman listening to a man playing the piano

"

I watch his long fingers,

Mesmerized by the way they move,

The way they flow over the keys unhindered,

The sound is frenzied but smooth.

He’s up there doing something I could never do.

The room is filled with people,

But the music fades them away,

Leaving the stillness of a beetle,

Strange compared to the beautiful disarray.

Everyone must feel this haze,

I can’t be the only fan,

Of the creator of this daze,

The Piano Man.

Inspired by Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" I guess. I wish I could ever have the skill to play the piano like that. But I don't.
So sad. :'(

this is not bad..I don't think you need to force the rhyme by saying 'forever stay' it doesn't sound natural....Maybe if you just dropped the forever it might flow better. I realise you were thinking of a syllable count but in this case it would not matter..just a thought
