Okay

Okay

A Poem by Amanda
"

This all just getting way too out of hand.

"

“Okay.”

Such a horrible thing to say.

How could I ever forget

That I’m your biggest regret?

I said that one little word,

And you acted like I was being absurd.

I wonder sometimes,

Could you list my crimes?

Because I don’t remember what I ever did,

To make you want to get rid,

Of me, your only daughter.

Was I better as a toddler?

Or no? Was I always this way?

Hated enough to be scolded for only saying,

“Okay.”

Author's Note

Amanda
I got bitched at for literally saying the word, "Okay." My mother and I can't go five minutes without fighting.
I'm sorry.
I hope you have a nice day.
