One Simple Truth

One Simple Truth

A Poem by Amanda
"

The one simple truth that I've come to realize

"

I hate them,

My family,

They’re horrible,

As can be,

But there’s one simple truth,

That I’ve come to accept.

No matter how hard I try,

I will always be like them.

I love them,

At the same time,

Because we’re the ones who make it fun,

Without any money, not even a dime.

They are confident,

With nothing to lose-

Except games involving booze.

Yes,

There is one simple truth,

That I will always know,

When you’re a Poulin,

You can’t ever let go.

Because you will never be alone.

Author's Note

Amanda
So the picture is from about four years ago, it's the only one I have with us together except for the photos on my laptop (which I am not posting this from). I know this wasn't that good of a poem, but no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to write one about my Dad. So instead I wrote about the rest of my immediate family (not including my mother and her side of the family, they don't really like me).

Pic (top): Tiffany, Bella(not quite 1 yet,) and Jayde(my retarded cousin)
Pic (Bottom): Me, Devon (Jayde's older brother and my gay BFF), and Nick
