To Kill An End

To Kill An End

A Poem by Shingo

Always alone though,

Surrounded by caring faces.

I cannot tell anymore,

What I feel.

What to do.

What to say (or to not).

How to act.

Despair has made a home,

Deep within this heart,

And i would not remove it,

For my entire world.

Only hers.

Only ours.

Not for love,

But for need.

Not desire,

Greed.

If love will not dwell,

Then despair will suffice.

I can hold onto that,

Just as strongly.

Just as deeply.

More stubbornly.

And it will not leave,

At a moment's notice.

Its purpose can be defined,

Anywhere, at any time.

Its reason.

Creation.

Conception.

The love of my life,

Now the simple despair,

That sustains it.
