The constant change.

The constant change.

A Poem by Suditi

They say life is not always fair,
They say it's a cruel world out there,
Everything has transformed,
Nothing has remained,
It's the law of nature-the constant change.

The castle will dust down,
The flowers will die,
The clouds will pour down,
Vacating the sky.

The moon will dance around,
The sea will roar,
The birds won't fly forever,
They'll have to touch the floor.

The king won't rule to eternity,
He'll lose throne to more powerful some day.
The rat will not always be lured by cheese,
To escape, he'll find his way.

The sheep won't follow always,
One or two will surely leave the flock.
Diamond will be extracted from the very same place,
Which was once, just-a-rock.

The good will be mean at times,
The evil will be kind.
Silence which was bliss once,
Will one day, numb the mind.

Balance is never about keeping things
Like they have always been,
Neither about being unafraid,
of the things unknown, unseen.

It is about, taking the blow on your face,
And moving forward.
Because rest of the tale is waiting to unfold.
The story, waiting to be heard.

I love this whole poem - it's amazing - but this stanza really stands out to me. I love it! I love how you portray shades of grey; not everything's black and white. I can't really explain why, but it seems to speak of something I understand. I understand that, while I'm usually nice, I can be unkind, and those who are evil can be kind. I understand that silence is both beautiful and suffocating.

The last two lines are pretty phenomonal too. I love the message of this poem - it's like a little pick-me-up. Everything changes and dies, but if we want to make the most of our time, we have to adapt with it. We have to surf the tide instead of drown.

Fantastic write.
Keep up the hard work!

I believe we create our destiny. Can look for the bad in the day or seek laughter and happiness. I like your thoughts and the positive ending. Thank you for the outstanding poem.

This is fantastic! Just the whole idea behind it is amazing and the way you delivered it was just... wow.

I saw it and thought, "Ugh, this is really long, can I be bothered," but once I'd started, I didn't want to stop. xx

I enjoyed your rhymes. In the last stanza, I would say "blow to your face" not "on your face", because that just makes me more sense, but that's really my only critique. This piece is a bit cardboard in that it didn't stand out to me so much, though it was written well.

This is truly an epitome of awesomeness. Change is inevitable, as you have shown with your words, how they danced to a beat and yet managed to elicit your thoughts very well. Definitely going on my favorites.

The thoughts are clear. I kept finding a rhythm and losing it - which became distracting.
