Angels too kill.

Angels too kill.

A Poem by Suditi
"

When a part of our devil dies.

"
Angels too kill.
Alone, in the dark,
I hear someone whisper,
"On your mark."
I want to run,
But I know there is no point.
It's not behind me,
It's inside.

It's not the Devil that bothers,
It's the Angel, who is killing me.
It's not the blood that irks,
It's the kindness which hurts.

I am in pieces,
I don't feel whole.
The weaker half of me,
Is taking away my soul.

that reflects the most frustration and sadness can ever be felt. in this poem you mention that life is a bad place where pain falls like rain from everywhere. and because the pain is the most severe when it comes from closest to us, so when pain comes from angels, it is the worst because it comes from the most unexpected. i have really loved it and enjoyed every line in it. thank you for sharing

Interesting reflection, I agree excessive kindness can do you in. At what point do we stick up for ourselves? How much do we give before its too much? Indeed The spiritual quest is fought with that difficulty of naturally being open to expressing deep compassion and support whilst keeping ones guard up for defending ones boundaries, its a difficult balance to achieve. Naturally being inclined to accpeting and understanding others, I have often let my self be trampled and then bacome resentful. So I have realised that the compassionate path cannot just simply be the "wishy washy" pacifistic la la land, that people often percieve it as. (And this is perhaps the main reason why people are so dismissive of pacificsm as a means to peace and human harmony, because they are afriad the world will eat them alive.

But sometimes we are left with no choice but to be a little forceful with others in order to defend the integrity of own wellbeing or to wake them up to to the suffering they are bringing others. "Tough Love so to speak." As long as we do this with deep awareness and loving kindness and a genuine desire for compassionate healing as oppesed to egocentric power-tripping, then I think it is acceptable, because if we are unable to within reason protect our own integrity then we will have nothing left for the people who genuinely seek and deserve our love and support.

I love your choice of words. And I really like the tone you set and how strongly you put across your feelings. Very nicely written.
