Why do we have to move the mountain? Why can't we just tread along? Why can't we be little more happy? Why can't we be a little less strong?
Why do we have to reach to the stars? Why can’t we gaze at them, in wonder and awe? Why can’t we conquer, a little less? Why can’t we feel blessed, a little more?
Why do we have to be the wealthiest? At the cost of our soul?! Why can’t we buy a little less? Why can’t we own a little more?
Why do they say, life is a race? Why is it necessary to come first? Why can’t we enjoy, our own pace? Why can’t we stroll, if running aint fun?
Why do we have to be, better in every respect? Why do we have to be, everything that-sells? Why can’t we be a little less than perfect? Why can’t we be a little more of ourselves?
Everybody's love, everybody's attention,
Why do we have to seek? Why don’t we realize, a hundred million followers,
shift their faith,
The moment they find their leader weak?
Why do we have to kill, or die in His name? Why do we have to believe in beliefs, even if we
find them lame? If we really have to thank the One above, the
creator of land.. Why can’t we do so, by taking care of his
creations, the earth, the animals, the man?
Why can only few be awarded the gift, called life? Why do they say, only the 'fittest and strongest'
can survive? Why do we forget, that, the sun, the moon exist
together, in the same sky, at dusk and at dawn? Why do we not remember that sometimes, when the
mighty ships cant, a small raft can save a life, in a storm?
Why do we have to kill, or die in His name?
Why do we have to believe in beliefs, even if we find them lame?
If we really have to thank the One above, the creator of land..
Why can’t we do so, by taking care of his creations, the earth, the animals, the man?
"If we really have to thank the One above, the creator of land..
Why can’t we do so, by taking care of his creations, the earth, the animals, the man?"
The poem is like a Native American prayer. A prayer for common sense and kindness. Life is simple. Love bring love. Kindness bring more kindness. Hate and violence create wave of pain only will stop. When we learn forgiveness and hope. Good questions are raised in this poem. They seem like a easy task to follow? Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

Its easy to ask....Why....but difficult to answer..............I wish you will get answers of all your Why's...........................keep up the good work :-)
Wow, I loved this. Powerful. Strong penetrating questions. Out of all of it, I think my favorite lines were "Why can’t we be a little less than perfect?/Why can’t we be a little more of ourselves?" or "Why can’t we buy a little less?/Why can’t we own a little more?" I'm not particularly religious, but I don't think you have to be to really enjoy this particular poem, or relate to these lifetime inquiries.
