Untitled VII

Untitled VII

A Poem by Subliminal Silence

i saw something in your eyes
crystal clear and whispering
never wanted to let it go
but then it turned and walked away
cold shoulders and icy veins
nothing can bring me back
from where you left me
out on the banks of the river
running deep and oh so cold
out on the banks of the river
unable to feel the current
as it sweeps me down
never felt something so pure
never seen something so beautiful
blonde hair catching the sun like
a blanket of golden diamonds
i smile and i blink
wondering if it's meant to be true
i saw something in your eyes
crystal clear and whispering
and it left me there, without a word
out on the banks of the river
hoping to drown
