Spaces In Between Space

Spaces In Between Space

A Poem by Subliminal Silence

tracing up through the satellites in the iniquity of the space between
fingers touching and lingering, leaning in a space between
holding on the a memory i can't quite remember, but refuse to let go of
i know this is somewhere else, somewhere in between the spaces
read between the lines and turning everything inside out
i never knew the truth could taste like this, bitter and fruitless
devoid like the whole of space and time and the continuum of things we'll never choose to know the differences of why here is now and there is forever
oh, what is this world coming to, lost between the planets, lingering in space
everything we thought we knew isn't quite right anymore, quite the same or
just a thousand different shades of the same colour, burning out before our eyes
i know you like to feel this new, knew it all the while, with wiley charm
sparkling eyes and a gentle kiss, everything is coming unraveled like we'd never
known to taste oh so sweet, lingering forever and half a day, fading with the sunset
lost in the spaces in between the lines, reading like some dead scroll
i never knew it could take this long, to find my way from space
outside of space and time i linger in a memory i have forgotten
but hold onto a scrap like nothing will ever make half the sense that it used to
but it's okay. it's oh so okay, here i am and here you'll stay,
between the lines, between the memories, between the spaces in between
