wandering and muttering.

wandering and muttering.

A Poem by Subliminal Silence

wandering and mumbling
tripping inside the dark caverns of the mind to the lingering taste of the lips tingling
the warmth of the world all around her, trailing in and out of focus
like a photograph and burnt around the edges off the truth she speaks
these mumbling lines as i wander, my ears humming and buzzing with dissonance
she speaks so softly in my ear and i can hear it all clear, the photograph coming into focus
and in the bed at the night time, in the dark time, she tells me those words i need to hear
so soft, the whisper is barely audible, an inaudible whisper for only me and unprovoked
it will be alright, she says to be, she says that everything will be okay all i have to remember
are those words i clung to oh so long ago, like a phased memory out of something from a different life
those words that meant the world for so long, but lost in the suffle - just let go
just let go of all the worry, of the stress, all those things that make the temples throb
just let go and go with the flow of the water, cascading like a fluid dream
washing over the sand and carrying me back out to see, where i can float and not drown
for the first time in my life, i have faith - not in a mysterious father figure, but hey, it'll be okay
and it will, everything will be okay in the end, with the breeze coming over here...
wandering and muttering
everything will be just fine
just let go... she said to me.
just let go and remember the dreams of a bright future
just... let... go...
