between calls

between calls

A Poem by Subliminal Silence

between calls, been looking for you
been waiting around for far too long
tapping my fingers on the desktop
until my fingertips bled through
i don't know what to do anymore
i don't know what to say, or what to do
i don't know anything anymore, thanks to you
i've been waiting for someone just like you
and i'm so glad you were found
but i still don't know just what the hell to do
i know the truth is just a lie
and you hide it in your eyes
but maybe it's not entirely right
but just maybe, everybody lies
to some extent, to any degree
no one is an honest person
