A Failed Poem

A Failed Poem

A Poem by Subham Chatterjee

A failed poem . ©Kaleidoscope

                            **         A failed Poem       **

Just through random words placed through,

Adorned with a glimpse of ornamental essence in you,

Words of cunning wisdom, you do write....

Impressive, picturesque - to more than one might.

But are you sure, your heart reaches us ?

Or is it just a few lines making a fuss,

Tinge of an essence as it may seem,

Golden words of your poem , shy realm.

So you think you can write a notion ?

An honest change in us, sans corrosion,

Limited , pushed to abyss, down with palistenense

Emotions, eroded, sans valid existence.

I wish I could write my thoughts like you,,

But my words repeat, as my words are so few,

Time and again as I crumble past,

I look upon my failed poem , I wrote last.

If I can't write, can't I say?

Whereon my true self solemnly lay,

No matter as to how my these poems fail,

They will keep a slow, recreated trail .

With every word of lesser essence that suffice,

With every word of life with which it ends,

There will you start a poem, my friends,

It's there where this art truly mends .
