The Edge Of The Clockwork Horizon: Chapter 1: New Generation

When I opened my eyes, I saw a little tiny person walking, it wasn't actually tiny, he just looked tiny because I was far away from that person. That person was walking in a never ending desert. He was wearing a purple hooded parka and a baggy pants, he looked like he is going to a snow mountain to go snowboarding. All he is doing is walking aimlessly in the never ending desert. I don't know why but for some reason, I wanted to encourage whoever that person is to not stop walking. Maybe because he has a better to reason to live, a reason important enough to keep walking forward. All I did in my life was play around and waste my life unlike that person. 

After a while of watching him, I started to notice that the person was starting to get weak. He was struggling to walk on the vast dry sand of the desert, that moment, questions appeared on my mind "What is this person's motivation? What is making him go that far?"  After those questions appeared on my mind, that person kneel down on the sand and looked up at the sky. His hood was suddenly blown by the sudden wind, 
「A bright future.....I promised that I will show them a bright future」Right after he said his words, he fell down on the sand facing down. I wanted to help that person but I couldn't move. All I could do was stare at that person just like what I did when my parents died in a fire, just watch them burn while feeling powerless. 
「・・・・・Not yet, this is not the ending yet」

That person still haven't gave up. I won't either......I guess

Suddenly everything went pitch black

The sounds of the birds singing, the bright sunlight that managed to go through the leaves of the trees and the slow, calm breeze suddenly hit me. When my vision went back, I was upside down hanging down from a tree branch, 
「Eh? Forest?」All I could see was the color of dark green leaves and the dark brown and gray colored tree bark, 
「Where is this place?」When I tried to go down from the branch, the branch suddenly broke and I fell down head first, 
「It~~~~~hurts!!!」I rubbed my head as I struggled to stand up, 
「Kami-nee, you sure went too far on the pranks~~...」I stretched my body and I brushed off the leaves and the dry soil on my shoulders. 
「Where am I? Anyway」 I looked around me to check if I have any idea where this place is,
「・・・・・Nope, No idea where this place is」I started to walk forward. 

After walking for a while, I saw a girl with a long, curly and heavy looking hair sitting on a wooden bench. She was reading a book while the birds gather around her, 
「Who are you?」The Maiden stared at me, 
「I'm Kazuma Kamine, you?」
「Aqueas Miori」Her name sounded really weird, 
「Your name sounds weird」
「I get that a lot」
「I understand, Can I sit beside you?」
「Go ahead but before that, I don't remember the Academy having a student named Kazuma Kamine」Before I was able to sit beside her, she asked me if I am actually a student of the academy, 
「(Tch, she's doubting me already. I don't mind being doubted when I pick up girls in the street but once I stepped on a different place, I am in a bad spot )」I was panicking in the inside, then the Maiden continued the conversation, 
「Do you have a Student I.D.?」She asked, 
「Aah, I do」I grabbed the student I.D. I have in the pocket inside the blazer uniform I have,
「(Wait, why am I in this blazer? I don't remember wearing that academy's uniform? So Kami-nee was not the one who threw me here, sorry Kami-nee I doubted you)」I showed the Maiden my Student I.D. and she immediately checked it, 
「・・・・・It doesn't seem to be forged, are you a transfer student?」Her dark purple eyes kept on staring at me, as if that she was looking at my soul, 
「uhhh...Yeah」
「I understand, I need to ask one more question」
「Go ahead」
「When you received this Student I.D. Did you see a bird?」
「(I am threading on a mighty thin ice here, for what reason did she asked me that question? I'll be careful) No, I didn't, was I suppose to see a bird?」I had to lie. If what he had told me is true, I have to be careful going around this academy.
「I understand, Do you want to have a tour?」The Maiden stood up while she placed a bookmark in her book then closing it. As soon as she stood up, the bird around her flew away. 
「If you don't mind, I will」
「Follow me, Kazuma-sama」

She started to walk on her own pace and I followed her. I had no idea what I was about to see when I decided to follow her. After a while, I was able to see the academy. It was huge, we were far away from the academy but for me it was still huge. When we were near the Academy zone, I felt something subtle. As if that I went through a bubble, it was really subtle. After I felt that subtle feeling, I noticed the huge change that happened in just a dew seconds. Before we were able to reach the Academy zone, it was noon but when we entered the Academy zone, it was sunset. 
「That's a surprise....」
「It is an Academy Of Magic after all. Welcome to Aqueas Scale Magic Academy, Kazuma Kamine-sama」

Who's kami-nee?? Did I miss another chapter? I dont remember her. And also you misspell 'few' on the second to last sentence. I admire that purple parka guy. Tell him, ~Gambatte~
