Black and White: Crimson RainFall Arc: Chapter 1: The Crimson RainFall

When I woke up, I was in an unfamiliar place. Everything was in ruin, the buildings and the roads was uneven. Everything was in large scale for me, when I stared at my hands, all I saw was pale white tiny hands. I was surprised by my hand for some reason, I felt like my hands were not suppose to look like this. It felt like I forgot that I am a child. When I tried to remember anything from my memories, nothing comes into my mind. All I could comprehend was that I am lost in this ruined city without any memories at all. I couldn't do anything other than walk around the ruined city aimlessly. I walked around the ruined city till the sun had started to set and the darkness of the night had finally reached it's turn. I was alone in the ruined city, my stomach had started to growl. I rubbed my stomach to reassure it without eating any food but it didn't work.
「I am hungry.....」 I whined about my hunger. I realized that my voice doesn't deliver any feelings even the whining of a small kid. I know that complaining about my hunger won't don't me any good so I just accepted that there is a big possibility that I could die of starvation in this ruined city.
「hallo~~ Little Kid. What's your name?」 A lady with a long pink hair appeared in front of me. Her hairstyle is a bit weird, maybe because of that bedhead on the left side of her head. She has blue eyes, all she did was ask my name and kept on waiting for me to answer,
「I can' remember anything, my name too」 I answered her honestly and she just rubbed my head while she looks like she was really enjoying it.
「Okay! Your name is now Makita Nagi! Starting now, you and I are now "Family"」 She was an energetic person and she doesn't look like a really dangerous person,
「Family.....」 I said what i was trying to think out loud,
「Yes! Family, it doesn't look like you have any family so I will be your Mom and Dad from now on.」 She picked me up like how people carry a small kid.

While she was carrying me back to probably where she lives, she talked to me and even told me her name. Her name is Makita Maki and she is the president of a Clearance Company. She lives in the same building as her company. She said that her company office is in the first floor and her house is on the second floor of the building she owns. She is a really funny but really weird person but not really a bad person. When I asked her the reason why she decided to take me in as a Family, she answered as
「I have been running this company all by myself, I never really wanted to hire people since it this time and age, you can't trust other people with the money they receive since there is a really big change that they will use it for bad things. So I decided to raise you as my own child and help me run this company.」 She winked at me while she laughs in a really creepy way.

Maki-san raised me under her wings while she elucidated to me everything I needed to be a full pledge Clearance Officer. She trained me for 3 years. When I reached the age of 10 years old, Maki-san took me with her in a Clearance Mission. Our duty was to clean the people killed in a crime or places that gets destroyed during the take out of the criminals. In that one specific mission, the worst that could ever happen in the world, happened. The Crimson RainFall, a crimson colored rain. It once happened in this world, Maki-san told me that the Crimson RainFall destroyed half of the city we are in. The Crimson RainFall destroyed many people's lives and their future leading to the current situation of this world. The Cause of the Crimson RainFall is still unknown even though that the last Crimson RainFall happened 5 years ago. The Crimson RainFall can cause people to turn into power holders and a monster that kills every human in it's sight.

I thought that it will never happen again and it will be a history forever but we underestimated what it could do. Not only it could turn people into mindless monster, but it could turn normal people into power holders with an authority to control it perfectly and they are called "Crimsons". The Crimsons kept on doing crimes with their new found powers which made the current society really bad and the Clearance Officers' job is to clean the aftermath the Crimsons left or clean the Engagers' mess when they murder the Crimsons. I don't know more about the Engagers and what they really are since Maki-san won't tell me anything related to the Engagers.

The Second Crimson RainFall, many people went into panic and into hiding under their house so that the Crimson RainFall won't touch them and turn them into Crimsons. Fortunately, this time, people know that the best way of solution in that rain is to avoid getting in contact with it, even just one drop of it. There were no victims this time and the Crimson RainFall stopped after a few hours of heavy pouring. Me and Maki-san were at the ruined part of the city when the Crimson RainFall poured down and fortunately we avoided it. When we got back to the city with our reassured feelings, we were surprised that the whole city is being destroyed by people mindlessly killing and destroying things. There were no solutions for what happened so the people in the "Azul Frame" decided to destroy the whole city with the Crimson RainFall's victims. Me and Maki-san survived the bombing barely. I broke many bones in my body and Maki-san was completely unscathed for some reason. Again, she helped me live through this world. I was scared, I was powerless and all I could do was watch people get burned by the explosion and that placed a big trauma on my mind.....
