The Light Ahead

Why do I feel so sad?

Why do I feel so lonely?

I am so glad when you hold me.

I am truly happy to know you.

Filled with such joy.

Yet filled with such sadness.

I continue walking in the dark,

With the light ahead of me.

Just enough so I can see.

It’s all just enough,

Nothing more, nothing less,

Just enough, that is all.
