Where do I belong?

Some say I belong everywhere,

others say I belong nowhere,

Some say i'm a genius,

other's a hero,

other's say i'm a menace,

A man with no plan,

no concern for his actions.

Ruthless and cruel,

some say i'm like a storm,

in the heart of the sun,

some say im like the night,

dark, mysterious and foreboding.

Those who know me say this,

He is no hero, but he saves lives daily,

He is not a genius, but he is smart and wise,

He has no malice or cruelty,

just life asks him to make impossible choices,

and it's those choices that are cruel to him,

He is just one man alone.

Trying to do the right thing,

trying desperately to belong.

So lonely, even though many stand beside me, I am still alone,

The say one thing:

They say i'm kind and just.

So i may be lonely but i have the biggest family.

Author's Note

so this is the 7th in a 10 part short series leading to a new youtube video. as the first part the task is simple. Which well known character am i going to be? lets see if anyone can guess. the clue so far: I've have been seen on tv. your second clue: I have appeared on both british and american tv, and recently too. Third clue: The line in the 5th poem says; I've lived so many lifetimes. Clue 4: I am one man but i've been many. part 9 will be uploaded in two days with another clue.
