Too much power. ? series part 4

his is the Fourth part of my 10 part ? series. For any that need a refresh on this series, it will lead up to a new youtube project which will reveal the character all of these poems are written by.

Too much power?

Too many days i've travelled in darkness,

I've travelled far and wide to avoid it,

I've even travelled far and wide to seek it.

I haver seen wonders the likes of which you have never seen,

Horrors you could never dream of.

I've seen death, oh so much death.

I can not say that I have not brought death,

I can not say that I have not caused death,

But only to do what I must,

only in the name of saving those that needed saving.

Now I fear i've gone too far,

power has its crutches to bear,

I've had too much power for too long,

No-one to answer to but me.

Anything is possible when no-one sets your limits,

when their is no-one left to set them,

that's why I should never be alone,

too much power and my own ambition.

You see I admit i'm flawed, fatally so.

I don't want power, but at times I cant help it.

Why should I?

I have so much power,

I could change it all, everything,

I could save those I love,

I don't need to stand and watch,

as worlds burn, and everything dies,

I could stop every black day,

bring back those I've lost

and there has been so many.

I could do so much more, so much more.

Then I have my rules,

the one rule,

Never use my power to control fate,

what must happen must come to pass,

save my legacy be forever tainted.

But I can still wish,

I can still hope.

so this is the 4th in a 10 part short series leading to a new youtube video. The first part the task is simple. From reading the pieces can you tell me: Which well known character am i going to be? lets see if anyone can guess. The clue so far: I've have been seen on tv.
