Afraid and Alone- ? series part 3

This is the third part of my 10 part ? series. For any that need a refresh on this series, it will lead up to a new youtube project which will reveal the character all of these poems are written by.

Afraid and Alone

Im alone and afraid now,

I've run so long.

We just keep running, we run and we run,

never stopping, never looking back,

till we are out of the shadows.

That's my problem though,

too many shadows.

Yes my story was sad, sad but beautiful,

Many tears were shed, many laughs were shared,

and those one truly amazing moments.

There is a time to live and a time to sleep,

and my time is almost through.

Though my story had many more characters,

all those people because simply I was  vain,

I wanted to be loved, how ever much it hurts,

and someone once told me "Dont ever be alone"

I've seen gods, many of them,

false idols with no thoughts for their followers,

prophets made from secrets and lies,

yet I have seen true miracles performed by the most ordinary men.

Yet i have done no miracles yet they still call me a god,

I am no god, I am no hero,

simply...i...am...me.

Now im tired, i just want it to stop now,

I dont want anything to change.

You see we all have those moments, 

when we wish the universe would just freeze,

wish it would stop hurtling around at lightning speed,

just stand still and allow us to savor what we have.

Wish we could live in one moment for the rest of time.

Love that's what can make us feel like that,

however hard it is to love, however hard it is to be loved,

yet we know just around the corner in the shadows,

is that one thing we fear most,

Change.

It's inevitable, every moment ever lived ends,

every story ever told wraps up somewhere,

everyone dies in the end, that's the way it is.

No matter how much we want it to stop,

no matter how much we fight,

we all know whats coming.

The end of the story we created just by living our lives.

That's me.

Im alone and afraid now.

Author's Note

o this is the 3rd in a 10 part short series leading to a new youtube video. as the first part the task is simple. Which well known character am i going to be? lets see if anyone can guess. the clue so far: I've have been seen on tv. your second clue: I have appeared on both british and american tv, and recently too. part 5 will be uploaded in two days with another clue.

I really enjoyed reading this piece
Your style is very casual i feel like i am having a conversation with someone
For each line my brain thinks of a couple of things
Life has so much to teach a soul
We grow through it
and reach a point of reflection
not sadness so much as longing for privacy
