The story of me- ? series part 2

This is the second part of my 10 part ? series. For any that need a refresh on this series, it will lead up to a new youtube project which will reveal the character all of these poems are written by.

The story of me.

You ask me, "Is my story a sad story?"

Well truth is nothing is really ever sad till its over.

the saddest thing about my story,

is one day it will end,

and thats the saddest thing about any story after all.

Though its not just me, we are all just stories.

because stories are where memories go when they are forgotten.

stories and songs that capture that one moment in time,

the one thing and they preserve it,

all for one hope,

the hope its a good one.

My story, my story was, it was the best.

Every story really happened in some way,

you see that's the thing about a story,

you can read it or hear it,

but you never really live it.

Take Peter pan for instance,

he is the boy who never grew up,

seems cool doesn't it?

Though you have to think, truly take a minute and think about it,

you read about his magical adventures in Neverland,

and all seems like it would be perfect,

in truth its anything but.

Peter can't ever grow up, so over time,

how many people does he have to watch grow old and die,

how much love has he had to gain and lose?

Well that's me, except i'm not a boy,

I've lived so much longer,

lost so much more.

My story will end where it ends, nothing i can do about it,

All my regrets, and their have been so many, so many,

all the love I have had,

and all the love I have lost.

Every time I try to forget,

every tear that burns my brain,

every laugh that makes me smile,

every thought I tried to remember,

Every one of your faces,

it will all...just...end.

maybe one day you will sit beside the fire and tell your children of me,

tell stories of how i was a hero,

but they will be wrong,

im not a hero,

i am just me.

So let me be brave when the time comes for my story to end,

but dont end with goodbye.

I hates endings, 

but i hate goodbyes more.

Author's Note

So this is the 2nd in a 10 part short series leading to a new youtube video. as the first part the task is simple. Which well known character am i going to be? lets see if anyone can guess. the clue so far: I've have been seen on tv. part 3 will be uploaded in two days with another clue.
