London Bus

London Bus

A Poem by Stuart Ellis

The definitive London experience
the most authentic simulation.
You could have chosen a trek through the Andes
or ballooning over the serengeti,
but you selected the best
so sit tight and savour the rich detail.

Do you see that glint of sunlight
catching the roof of the pristine white van
as it cuts in front of the swerving enraged cyclist?
And the fear in the cyclists eyes?
could almost be real.

Or the muffled scream from that lady,
as the taxi she ran for sped away at the last second?
That isn't real shopping she's spilling all over the pavement,
neither is the newspaper flapping in your face
or the quarter ton man standing on your little toe

Indeed that elbow in your ear is a work of genius,
so savour the authenticity and hold tight,
this is quite a ride. So popular in fact,
they queue for miles down the road.

Felt a bit of sarcasm in this!
All those who love being a tourist and travelling by bus..........where as we queue, get squashed and
charged a fortune!

That isn't real shopping she's spilling all over the pavement,
neither is the newspaper flapping in your face
or the quarter ton man standing on your little toe

Very good images, felt the flow was abit off, not that I feel it matters though.
