Purity

Purity

A Poem by Stuart Ellis

I lay in perfect peaceful tranquility,
resting In the chapel of your hair
draped around me like radiant columns of gold
and sun glistening through,
highlighting divine works of elegance.
It is a masterpiece
to rival Michael Angelos best,
a celestial frame of gentle curves,
a finely balanced composition
of beauty and purity.
A smile to replenish my soul with sunshine.

And then my deep conviction
that in the passion
of ignited earthly desires,
the faintest touch
of this soft white silken skin
will forever taint you,
and leave me
desolate and abandoned.
A dishonourable degenerate
and fallen corrupter
of angelic souls.

I've reread this and love the visuals, but I'm a little confused about the rest of the poem. Is it about a loss of innocence accompanying lost virginity? I'm not sure... feeling like you aren't good enough for the person you love?

this one made me read again...i don't think it is much about romance, even tho that is underlying...is it about worship and worthlessness? Thinking yuo'renot good enough to toch this pure goddess? Makes you think...

Very romantic, a contrast to "Horror"........although underlying sad one would not feel good enough
to have such perfection and beauty.
