Animals

Animals

A Poem by Stuart Ellis

I saw two girls tearing each others hair out
over some nameless waste of skin
like wild cats in the dark
they ripped and scratched
spitting, foaming and cursing like demons.
It made me want to travel back in time
and remove a structurally crucial piece of wood
from Noahs Ark.

Short and to the point. I liked the last line, how it was angry but also sort of darkly funny.
