Peacefire

Peacefire

A Poem by MinorArt
"

You tell me

"
Lacking
Peace
Lacking something
Always
In places where I shouldn’t be

Search party out
What do they say about finding bodies after 72 hours?
72 thousand years searching for peace

Search my creases, trail off into the corners
Gently
Scape the bottom of my barrel
Eviscerate it, inside out me

I know you found something but why does it inspire you?
We must be lacking the same thing

Some girls..
Eyes blue like the ocean, oozing calm
And that
Peace
There is no ocean in my eyes
Emerald green
They say about girls with eyes the colour of fresh grass
Peace in the reflection of her soul
What do you do if your eyes look like dark honey
Kissed the sun and
Caught on fire
Flames
Rage, angry.
Can fire look like peace?
Look into these windows and help me find it

Tip of my tongue, wet, just like everyone else’s
But does it feel like water when it glides or
Does it burn
Skin scorching where I touched it
Can fire feel like peace

I have no war to fight for peace
I don’t know who loses if I win
What I lose if I win
so I
Let gravity
Pull the fire down

I will find the easiest path to deconstruction into
Each drop of liquid

I will shapeshift into water

My greatest victory was giving in
To oceans of fire
And finding peace
In blazing pieces of me
