Confetti heartsA Poem by MinorArt
She acts like she's grounded in something
But lately she's liquid Takes the shape of whatever container She pours herself into It's sad Sometimes she's vapor Seeps into a room Nowhere to be seen but you can sense her all around Taste her soul on the tip of your tongue Faint scent of perfume and rage Rotting love Then there's days she's all you see The thing you can't tear you eyes away from Bursting into rooms likes flames Burning like exploding Suns Blinding Skin like milk Soft, sweet Cold He likes to tell her dirty things Watch her bite her lip She throws ropes like coiled snakes around his neck Pulling him in His world spinning between her thighs He's lost himself inside her so many nights She still doesn't know if he likes her She'll never ask She just blows smoke above her head to look like halos So you believe in magic She wears her lipstick dark and her jackets leather Impenetrable on the outside Shards of broken flowers tossed like cheap confetti inside An open book Just questions, no answers Ellipsis where giving an answer is too hard And pictures: smudged, purple Everything is out of focus Swirls of colours she has spoken To every one who ever broke her It doesn't matter Her eyes deceitfully glaring onwards She's looking backwards Into her herself, Into her mind - her glamorous hell Her shoulders bleeding in pelting rain She doesn't feel it She thinks she's dancing in meadows where flowers are never broken Blowing kisses to rows of souls that she forgot once broke her Everyone is an angel Nobody is broken © 2016 MinorArtReviews
