Momentum of a heartbreak

Momentum of a heartbreak

A Poem by MinorArt
"

Sometimes there's no big fight or screaming to commemorate your broken heart. Sometimes it just happens quietly, with no words: unacknowkedged

"
Heartbreak, they said
I thought explosion
Immediate
Tears, screaming, words you can never take back
Open wounds, acknowledged hurt
The kind of thing you know about, you talk about
Momentum
But there was just silence
I heard nothing because you said nothing
You just wiped me like a stain from counters of your life
Swept me away like dust under the rug
Silence
Just Nancy Sinatra singing in the background
Bang bang, you never shot me down
You walked away without a sound
You didn't even say goodbye
Didn't take the time to lie
Hush hush, my baby dropped me down
Like an old receipt in the pocket of his ripped jeans
Accidentally, almost
Out of his life and gone with the wind
Hush hush

great third last line. the carelessness (in the sense of it being almost like an accident, like you said) is a theme I'm fascinated by lately. Love exists, and then some crucial hours take place, and then it sort of doesn't, and then there is too much water in hold, and then it's titanic.
