Twilight Morrow

Twilight Morrow

A Poem by Strife
"

Every new day has to mean something

"

My friend,

I stand alone again

watching the twilight morrow.

The sun's rays piecing through

the darkness of night

What does it mean?

Will it be another day of loneliness,

seeing smiles on faces while I have none?

Will it be another day of struggle,

pulling the problem only to get tangled in its web?

Will it be a day of uncertain end?

These musings make my heart sink,

my mind cloud,

my soul darken

Or

Will this be a day of days

life's wind bringing me something new?

Perhaps a solution

perhaps a break

perhaps a friendly face

My friend,

I stand alone again

watching the twilight morrow

the sun's rays piercing through

the despair of my heart.

Is this the day that brings us together?
