the cripple and i

the cripple and i

A Poem by Cory Barrett
"

.

"
during the interim
i have become
bloodless

waiting, it seems
is detrimental to
substance

substance, it seems
is no more than
desire

Crippled inside essentially

Thank you for reading!
starved for love...in between relationships...desire is there...but someone needed to get that passionate blood reflowing....and the waiting feels like it starts to make the desire wane...

Starving indeed. Thank you for reading Jacob!
feeling starved for something, whatever that something is, can leave you feeling like a cripple without a crutch
