Enough

Enough

A Poem by Tyson

I wake up
Another day
another dime
Another play
Another time
watching these sycophants
Preen prance
and cream their pants
over this Russian plant's
song and dance
The lies are obvious
Takes five seconds to fact check
The people are nauseous
International respect plummets
The light on the hill
got its fill
We're falling from the summit
Led to the bottom be a fat
stupid
race baiting coward
Obama wore a tan suit
and got told to take his look and clean it
Now our president
took route
into teenage dressing room
ran off fear of minorities
And y'all are like
"He didn't mean it"
You want homeless people
to pull themselves up by the bootstraps
yet say nothing when he tweets us closer to war
Apparently personal responsibility
Is only for the poor
If this were Barack
guns would be cocked
but it's not
So he could say the N-word on TV
we'd be in the same spot
No media in the oval office
The door is locked
He never read the tax bill
or the constitution
the only amendments he knows are one and two
The first is used to attack him
The second is good for getting southerners in voting booths
to him, the rest is of no use
The 35 percent of Americans
who are still blind
will never change their minds
It's too late
hatred and fear have their vision impaired
they're scared
And he plays off their fears
They got told to blame their problems
on a black scapegoat for 8 years
But the rest of the 65?
We're still alive and kicking
our democracy is on the line
No more petty squabbles and nitpicking
My friends on the right
it's time to fight
restore sanity, bring the GOP back to the light
Find a candidate who represents your views
I know this isn't you
Let's get back to debating taxes and state laws
My fellow Democrats
we've got our flaws
It's time to come up with an actual identity
become the party
of social progress and civil liberties
are you angry?
Do you wake up every morning
watch the news
and wish you could send our chief commander
a big F you?
We have a way
Can you imagine the hell we'll put his ego through
when in 2018
The map turns blue?
