Dark Mentality

Dark Mentality

A Poem by Tyson

You caught a poet in a bad mood
Arrogant and mad rude
Anger pain and misery
That's food
For the demon inside of me
walls are bleeding
I've lost all meaning
My thoughts retreating
To a place where the only thing that matters is me
A narcissist
Lyrical arsonist
Who's art could just
Bring catharsis glee

Skilled with a pen
Inept with my tongue
So much to share
comes out decrepit and dumb
I could touch the worlds heart
Except its so numb
always been a cold place
And artists have to look
Before my voice spoke aloud
It wavered and shook
Explaining to itself
Life's storybook
Where happy endings are fairy tale
And children die in the park
Never ask me why i write so dark

Im a kicked dog
Looing for hope in a black world
Anger furled
Seeking the light
Late at night
By reflex,I Run
I howel at the moon
But it only reflects the sun
No real light
Only a glimmer
of where hope used to be
A still pool of water
I sense friends and enemies
But in the glassy reflection
I see only me
