No Life Without Night...

No Life Without Night...

A Poem by J.Cordova

the crack of dawn
now just down the street
teasing me
laughing
and mocking
eyes drying
mind wandering
floundering
stumbling
rambling
the cool night air
and stillness of life
allows one
to calmly reside
on the surface
of the ever turbulent
waters of living
the hell with regular sleep patterns
the hell with normality
give me the darkest and quietest of night
to think
to create
to live
or to write ramblings online at 4 in the f*****g morning
cause I don’t want to turn on a light
and write with pen
and paper
or maybe I will
either way
this night
the mind
will thrive
and soon the sun
will rise again
and win my battle
against it
and
normality
formality
routine
keep fighting
