Always

Always

A Poem by R

I feel like I’ve been punched in the gut by a thousand fists

Flung into the sky, swept up by a whirlwind

Thrown in the river, gasping for air

Dragged through the mud, then

Strung out on a clothesline to dry, limbs flapping uselessly in the wind

As I am released by the clothespins, I crumple to the ground, a heap of misery

“Are you okay?” They ask

“Of course.”

I think many people can relate to this because sometimes it feels like when something bad happens then it snowballs and you're like "Can I get a f*****g break". Raw, angry and eloquent. Love it

Much Love

I am glad you are fine. Hard life experiences can make us stronger or weaker. You write well that experiences so i can feel my own wounds .

Gee
Battered, bloodied and unbowed. Most of my working days are akin to this, then home and breathe.
A delightful wee read
