Human Magnetism

Human Magnetism

A Poem by The Fretless Horseman
"

A comparison between friendships, happiness, and magnets.

"
Some folks are magnetic
Attracting others with looks, power, and money
While others are prophetic
Seeing what the future holds and how it's running

Still others are unshaken
By challenges, trials, and all manner of loss
I am one who hastens
To find happiness while never counting the cost

Happiness is short-lived
But, then again, so is the rest of one's life
Sadly, we shake our hips
As we dance ever closer to the devil's knife

I may have odd interests
Like Hitchcock movies, Fender Strats, and Dragnet
But I have realized
Not everyone is meant to be a magnet

I'm a natural repulser, which one are you?
