Seraph Dancing

Seraphim Dancing

It has been quite some time, hasn't it
since last my night was just a breath away
I guess I've been far to preoccupied
to go searching skies for such fragile things
as that

I have often come across winds astray
yet I find only the rarest of my recall
has anything of the scent they brought.

Often, when there's been enough hours left
I haven't minded sending a few out seeking
for what there is to be found of little nothings
in the great nowheres of it all

If it has been simply to make me smile,
or if there's been more than that
I am not sure I'm willing to say
or at least that I'm willing to know
I think I'd rather keep my uncertainty
and leave myself some room inside the spark

Some little bit of space
just to breathe
Some few days
to find rest
Some little time
to let drift
Some light
for myself
to get lost within

A momentary glimpse
of a seraphim dancing.
