of Lakeside Trees & Things Forgot

of Lakeside Trees & Things Forgot

A Poem by Jethro del Cielo
"

Just a beautiful image I had in my head.

"

Alley of Dead Mens Bones

Take my hand, I
will take you to the promised land
said the joker, said the thief
who jested about your dreams
and spoke slyly about hope
stealing the night away
in a mirror image
on a pond, and

the lakeside trees are all bowing to the wind
it's a thing of sunshine, it's a word forgot
yet the meaning of the silence,
is the point of it all

Find me close yet far away
misty Sunday morning
and we're happy

We are all there needs to be.
