Hidden in LinesA Poem by StoryTailor
You want to write a poem paint a picture with words, so nice.
Throw so many words at me, once, twice, three times! Each and every letter, consonant and vowel tell and sing so perfectly, a story I'm waiting to hear. Paint this notebook canvas, orange, grey, and blue; color in this work of art for me to read too.
Tell me, what will it say? These colors and these hues? Will they speak of adventures past, Of places never seen? The darkest corner of your mind screaming out at me? Will cries of pain be heard around, near and far and wide? Will it make me cry out loud Because of life's cruel design? Tell me things I never knew, about the pains you've been through? Stories screaming at me, "Please! See how you can help me!" Will it make me turn around, ignore what's in plain sight?
You want to write a poem, and that, I'm sure, is fine.
But will the hidden content scare me off this time? Will the happy moments suddenly turn gray? And everything I've learned to know set me off today? Am I prepared to read this to live with what it says?
I've done it time and time again shown you exactly what's 'real'. But how will my tailored stories compare to how you feel?
