Sitting Here Now

Sitting Here Now

A Poem by StoryTailor

I'm sitting here because of you,
You wouldn't know that though, would you?
You've gone and left;
I'm all alone, it's just so cold.
And I'm sitting here.
I know that the sun shines,
But only when you are outside;
Whenever I go out,
The clouds seem to gather 'bout.
My luck? Or lack?
Or maybe just fate?
So I stay in here.
I'm sitting here because of you,
Or because of how you've gone.
you would've pulled me out by now,
shoved me through the door.
A good friend, you'd claim to be;
In truth though, you were a pain to me.
But a pain that had refused to leave.
You pushed me out,
Followed me through.
Told me off,
Complemented me too.
I hated every moment,
But now I know you're gone.
Excitement first, annoyance then,
And now a simple hum.
The empty coldness now surrounds,
The fullness you'd become.
Still, I say, goodbye, farewell;
I hope you have a great time.
Wave, and smile,
while inside, unknowingly, I die.
I'm sitting here now, because of you,
Or rather, because of the things we used to do.

This is very well written. You have a good rhythm going through most of it. A few times, you get off (at least I did), but you quickly got back in beat. Your emotion really shined through ,and the idea behind this is spectacular. Very well done. Keep up the good work.

Melancholy and somewhat brooding too. You've always been an angsty one^^ I like this poem, and I feel it too.
