Dear?

Dear?

A Poem by StoryTailor
"

Do you smell that? Hear that? Feel that? Dear?

"
Do you smell that?
Hear that?
Feel that?
Dear?
Can you see it coming near?

Now Now, don't cry
Let me wipe that tear from your eye
Don't weep for me, not for my demise

Do you smell that?
Hear that?
Feel that?
Dear?
Can you see it coming near?

I told you
I did
I warned you
I did
Of the problems surrounding my always cloudy skies
Of that day that I would meet, my untimely demise

Do you smell that?
Hear that?
Feel that?
Dear?
Can you see it coming near?

Far too young
Yet far too old
The timepiece seems to slow
I told you about that rusty old thing
That the day it stops so would the beating

Do you smell that?
Hear that?
Feel that?
Dear?
Can you see it coming near?

Ah Death
It comes
It stops
It laughs
Maybe not?
But

Do you hear smell that?
Hear that?
Feel that?
Dear?
Can you see it coming near?

Ah, yes.
Now I see
My good old friend, finally here for me
And so I walk
Hand in hand
With good old death
Out of this land

Do you smell that?
Hear that?
Feel that?
Dear?
Can you see it coming near?
