Still

Still

A Poem by StoryTailor

Sad blue eyes that never tell,

Never tell

Never tell

What makes them quite so sad.

Did they hurt you?

Did they tear you?

Did they let you fall?

But you just smile and shake your head throughout it all.

Still.

Sad blue eyes that never tell,

Never tell

Never tell

What makes them quite so sad.

Did I fail you?

Did I derail you?

Did I let you down?

But you just smile and shake your head throughout it all.

Still.

Sad blue eyes that never tell,

Never tell

Never tell

What makes them quite so sad.

I try to see what it could be that makes you so, so sad.

But you just smile, all the while.

Still.

Sad blue eyes that never tell,

Never tell

Never tell

What makes them quite so sad.

Sad blue eyes that never tell,

Never tell

Never tell

What makes them quite so sad.

Still.

The repetition really adds a lot of power to this. I felt real emotion. You are very good at writing and I really enjoy this. I really feel the lingering sadness in this poem and it strikes me both as very beautiful and heartbreaking. It really stays with me. Wonderful job, thank you so much for sharing it. :)

A very powerful piece. You pull the reader so that they can find out what makes the person so sad. It's a great write. It reminds me alot like myself. When something bad happens we all hide behind a mask. I loved reading it. Keep up the great work.

There is such a longing in the repetition that makes this feel almost lyrical... a song that moves over the heart and mind in feelings of remorse or pain. This creates such stirring emotions. Excellent write.
