Butterfly Kiss

I see you do your elegant dance

Upon the breeze you swing and sway

Soft ethereal wings of gossamer

I have not seen anything softer

 

I rest my mind, pause my hands

A quiet sigh escapes my lips

Barely moving I search for you

As you fly beyond my reach

 

The sunlight reflects upon the ground

A movement catches my eye

I glance over my shoulder to see

You paused upon my shoulder

 

My wonder knows no bounds

How can you be so near?

I see your pulsing movement

As I feel your butterfly kiss…
